Expand the menus

Select My profile or Account in the left menu to reveal its sections. If a page shows Loading, allow it to finish before choosing another action. On smaller screens, expand the navigation panel first.

Top toolbar

The user menu provides My profile, Status and Logout. The balance link opens Top up. Language changes the displayed language. Add shortcut opens the shortcut menu. The quick panel can show Today or the Calls dialpad.

2.

Signing in and managing your profile

Sign in and sign out

  1. Open https://safe2call.tech/vup/.
  2. Enter your UserName and Password. On a shared computer, clear Remember Me.
  3. Select LOG IN. Your profile or another signed-in page should appear.
  4. When finished, open User settings beside your displayed name and select Logout.

If you cannot sign in, check the spelling of your username and whether Caps Lock is enabled. The login page includes Forgot Password. Follow its instructions or ask Safe2Call for help; do not create a second account to recover access.

Update personal and invoice details

  1. Open My profile > My profile.
  2. Choose Personal data. Update Name, Last name, Email, Gender, Country, City or Date of birth as needed. The displayed date format is RRRR-MM-DD, meaning year-month-day.
  3. Select Save when it becomes available. A grey Save button can mean there is no change or the form is incomplete.
  4. Choose Invoice data to update Name, Last name, Address, Zip, City, Country and TAX ID. Select Save.

The Personal data Phone number field was disabled in the inspected account. Request a telephone-number change through Safe2Call if the field cannot be edited.

Passwords and communication preferences

My profile includes Change password. Use this control yourself and follow the prompts; do not share the new password. SIP password is a separate setting and may affect connected devices.

  1. Choose Consents in My profile.
  2. Review the choices Email, SMS, In-app and Call for product updates, promotions and offers.
  3. Select your preferred options and Save.

Availability status

Open User settings > Status to view Online, Away, Busy and Snoozing. Select the status appropriate to your availability. Do not assume this status has the same effect as a Find me DND rule; confirm the calling behaviour for your service.

3.

Making and receiving calls

Make a browser call

  1. Open the phone icon on the right side of the portal to display the Calls panel.
  2. Expand Dialpad if it is collapsed.
  3. Enter the destination number in the number field or use the dialpad buttons. Use the number format specified by Safe2Call.
  4. Check the number, then select the phone handset icon to initiate the call.
  5. If prompted, allow microphone access only when you intend to use browser calling. Use a working microphone and speakers or a headset.

The dialpad also displays video and message icons. Their presence does not establish compatibility with ordinary telephone numbers. Ask Safe2Call which destinations and applications support these functions.

Call a saved contact

  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Enter the person or number in Search for anyone.
  3. Check the contact and select Call. A call action can dial immediately, so select it only when ready.

Receive a call

Keep the configured handset or application online. When it rings, use its answer control. For browser calling, keep the portal signed in and ensure the browser can use your audio devices. Incoming-call buttons and active-call controls vary with the endpoint.

During a call

Use the active-call controls offered by your handset or app to end the call, mute your microphone or put the caller on hold. A mute action affects your microphone; hold normally suspends the conversation. Transfer and conferencing instructions depend on the handset or app and require its model-specific guide.

If a browser call does not work

Check your internet connection and microphone permissions.

Check your selected headset or audio device.

Close other applications that may be using the microphone.

Confirm that browser calling is enabled for your account and that the destination is permitted.

Check account charges or restrictions with Safe2Call before repeatedly dialling.

4.

Contacts and conversations

Add a contact

  1. Open Contacts and select ADD CONTACT.
  2. In New Contact, enter First name. This field is required.
  3. Enter Last Name if needed.
  4. Enter the Phone number. Use Add phone to add another phone entry when required.
  5. Use Toggle starred if you want the contact in Starred contacts.
  6. Review the details and select ADD CONTACT to save.
  7. Search for the new contact to check that the entry appears.

All contacts, Starred contacts and Device are available views. Device contacts can depend on the device or application providing them; ask Safe2Call if you need to import or synchronise an address book.

Find and maintain a contact

  1. Use Search for anyone to narrow the list.
  2. Open the contact entry and inspect the details before editing.
  3. If an editable form is offered, update the intended field and use its save action.
  4. If you need to remove an entry, use its Delete Contact or Delete action only after checking the person and number. Read any confirmation before proceeding.

Saving edits and restoring deleted contacts depend on the available record controls. Keep a separate copy of important contact details. Do not assume deletion can be undone.

Start a chat

  1. Open Contacts and find the intended person.
  2. Select Chat to open a conversation, or open Chats and use Search or start new chat.
  3. Check the recipient before composing and sending a message.

Chats is an in-platform conversation interface. SMS delivery to ordinary mobile numbers is not established by the Chat button. Confirm supported recipients and any charges with Safe2Call.

Recent activity

Open Recents to see a timeline. Entries identify calls or messages and their dates. Call entries can say You made a call or You had a call. For charge and duration details, use Account > Billing.

5.

Profile settings and click to call

Open service settings

  1. Open My profile > My profile.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Review the field you need to change. Select Save only after checking the value.

Field

Use

Caller ID

Select a caller ID made available to your account. Confirm number ownership and presentation with Safe2Call.

SIP login and SIP password

Credentials used by a SIP phone or application. Keep them private.

Ring timeout

Controls a ringing-related timeout. Ask Safe2Call for the unit, valid range and meaning of 0 before changing it.

Time zone

Choose the time zone appropriate to your location.

Voicemail to email

Enter the email address that should receive voicemail, where delivery is enabled.

Send voicemail to email

  1. In Settings, enter your chosen address in Voicemail to email.
  2. Check the address and Save.
  3. Arrange a normal test call that reaches voicemail.
  4. Check your inbox and junk folder. If no message arrives, ask Safe2Call to check voicemail activation and email delivery.

Click to call link

The Click to call tab can show a generated calling link and a Remove button. Treat the link as private because it contains an access token. Do not paste it into public documents or websites unless Safe2Call has confirmed the intended use and security behaviour.

Open the tab to review the available link controls. Ask Safe2Call how calls are initiated, which endpoint rings and whether link removal revokes access before distributing or removing a link.

Connecting a SIP application

Use the SIP credentials only with an application supported by Safe2Call. The Settings panel alone does not provide a complete setup: obtain the registrar/server, any outbound proxy, transport, port, codec requirements and supported app details from Safe2Call. The web portal address must not be assumed to be the SIP server.

6.

Greetings

Upload a greeting

  1. Open My profile > Greetings and select Add.
  2. Enter a descriptive Name, such as Home voicemail.
  3. Choose From file.
  4. Use the DROP FILES HERE area to supply your audio file.
  5. Wait for the upload to complete and resolve any validation message.
  6. Select Save when available.
  7. Check the greeting appears in the File name list. Assign it to the intended Find me rule if required.

The portal does not state the accepted file types, size limit or audio encoding in the inspected form. Ask Safe2Call for its approved format if an upload fails. Uploading a greeting does not by itself confirm that callers will hear it.

Record a greeting

  1. Open Greetings > Add and enter a Name.
  2. Choose Record.
  3. Select the recording control labelled CLICK HERE TO START RECORDING.
  4. Allow microphone access if the browser asks and you want to record.
  5. Speak clearly in a quiet room. Follow the stop or completion controls presented after recording.
  6. Review the audio if playback is offered, then Save.
  7. Check the saved greeting and test it through the intended incoming-call rule.

Example home voicemail greeting

Hello, you have reached our home phone. We cannot answer at the moment. Please leave your name, number and a short message, and we will call you back. Thank you.

Change a greeting

Create the replacement greeting first, then select it in the relevant Find me rule and Save. Test an incoming call before removing the older greeting. Where the greeting list offers record editing or deletion, check which rules use the greeting before altering it.

7.

Incoming calls and Find me

Find me creates rules for how incoming calls are handled. It is the portal location for forwarding and voicemail responses. Before adding a rule, ask Safe2Call which matching values and priority to use for your line.

Add a rule

  1. Open My profile > Find me and select Add.
  2. Complete From, DID number and Priority according to the intended rule. DID number identifies the incoming telephone number; From is a caller-related matching field. Confirm whether blank values match all calls.
  3. Choose Response. The available choices are Voicemail, Forward, Fax and Fast busy.
  4. For Forward, enter the destination in To using the number format specified by Safe2Call. For other responses, obtain the required To value or leave it only as instructed by Safe2Call.
  5. Choose a Greeting if required. Confirm how Loop should be set.
  6. Review Offline, Busy and No answer. Select only the conditions you want the rule to cover, following Safe2Call guidance.
  7. Review DND. Confirm its exact effect before enabling it.
  8. Select Save. Reopen the rule and check the values.
  9. Test from another telephone and check the outcome for each enabled condition.

Forward missed calls to a mobile

Use a Forward response and your mobile as To. Configure the matching line and the relevant unanswered, busy or offline conditions. Confirm priority and timeout with Safe2Call. Forwarding may create a chargeable call leg; check your package before enabling it.

Send missed calls to voicemail

Create a greeting first if required. In Find me, choose Voicemail, select the greeting and the intended call conditions, then save and test. For email delivery, also configure Voicemail to email in My profile > Settings.

Change or remove a rule

Locate the rule by From, DID number, Priority, Response, To and DND in the list. Open the appropriate record if an edit action is offered. Record the current values before editing. The FindMe form includes Delete; use it only for the intended saved rule and check any confirmation. Test incoming calls again after changing or removing routing.

8.

Understanding routing fields

Field or choice

What to check

From

Caller matching format, whether wildcards are allowed and what a blank value means.

DID number

Which incoming number the rule applies to and the scope of a blank selection.

Priority

Which rule wins when more than one matches. Do not assume higher or lower numbers win.

To

Forward destination or the required value for voicemail and fax responses.

Greeting

Which saved audio is used and at what point it is played.

Loop

Whether audio repeats and how this interacts with the selected response.

Offline

Behaviour when the relevant endpoint is not registered or reachable.

Busy

Behaviour when the destination is busy, including interaction with call waiting.

No answer

Behaviour when the call is not answered; confirm which timeout applies.

DND

The rule effect and its relationship to user status or handset Do Not Disturb.

Fast busy

A busy-style response; confirm the exact signalling and caller experience.

Fax

Fax routing requirements and whether fax service is enabled.

Test a routing change

  1. Call your residential number from a separate phone.
  2. Confirm which device rings and whether it rings for the expected length of time.
  3. For No answer, allow the call to go unanswered and check the final response.
  4. For voicemail, leave a short test message and check Voicemails and any email delivery.
  5. For forwarding, confirm the intended phone rings and answers without a forwarding loop.
  6. If the result is wrong, restore the previous values or ask Safe2Call to review the rule.

Avoid forwarding to a number that forwards back to this line. Do not change multiple overlapping rules at once. Always confirm routing when adding a new telephone number or handset.

9.

Speed dials Quick callings and Call through

Add a speed dial

  1. Open My profile > Speed dials and select Add.
  2. Select the required Speed dial shortcut.
  3. Enter Telephone number and, optionally, Nickname.
  4. Select Save and verify the Shortcut, Nickname and Telephone number in the list.
  5. Ask Safe2Call for the exact way to dial the shortcut on your handset; do not assume a star or hash prefix.

To change an existing shortcut, open its record where editing is offered and save the revised number. Check the full destination before making a test call.

Add a Quick calling

  1. Open My profile > Quick callings and select Add.
  2. Enter Description.
  3. Select Access number from those offered to your account.
  4. Enter Destination. All three fields are required.
  5. Select Save and check the Description, Access number and Destination in the list.
  6. Obtain the access-number dialling instructions and charges from Safe2Call before use.

If the access-number list is empty, ask Safe2Call whether this feature is enabled. A Quick calling associates an access number and destination; a speed dial associates a shortcut and destination.

Register a Call through number

  1. Open My profile > Call through and select Add.
  2. Enter Phone number.
  3. Review the Default selection and ask Safe2Call how it affects the service.
  4. Select Save and verify the record in the Phone number and Default columns.

Call through also provides a PIN button. Keep any PIN private. Obtain the access number, authorisation rules, PIN procedure, destination format and charges from Safe2Call before making a call-through call. Register only numbers you control and are authorised to use.

10.

Voicemail recordings and faxes

Review voicemail

  1. Open Account > Voicemails.
  2. Find the entry using Caller ID, Display name, Date and Duration.
  3. Use Show filters to narrow the list where needed; use Hide filters to collapse the filter area.
  4. Open the intended record and use any available playback or download controls. Check the record before deleting it.

If the list is empty, arrange a test call that reaches voicemail. Confirm your Find me voicemail rule and email setting. Ask Safe2Call for handset voicemail access codes, PIN recovery and retention rules.

Review recordings

  1. Open Account > Recordings.
  2. Find the intended call using Date, Caller ID, User, Duration and Called number.
  3. Use Show filters where needed.
  4. Open the intended entry and use the available record actions. Keep downloaded recordings private.

A Recordings menu does not mean all calls are recorded. Confirm activation, notice requirements, permissions and retention with Safe2Call. The empty record lists did not expose playback, download or deletion controls for verification.

Fax inbox and settings

  1. Open My profile > Faxes.
  2. Choose Received or Sent. Received lists include Date, From and Page count.
  3. Select Settings to review Number of attempts on delivery failure, Interval between tries, Authorized email (email to fax) and Forward faxes to (fax to email).
  4. Enter only approved email addresses and retry settings, then Save if a change is needed.

Ask Safe2Call for interval units, accepted attachments, the email-to-fax address format, activation and charges. Do not send sensitive documents until the receiving number and delivery method are confirmed. No Send fax button was exposed in the inspected inbox.

11.

Billing payments invoices and rates

Check detailed usage

  1. Open Account > Billing.
  2. Select Show filters.
  3. Choose Date from and Date to. Enter Number if you want to narrow the search and select Billing type as required.
  4. Review Outbound caller ID, Called number, Description, Call start, Call end, Cost, Effective duration and Type.
  5. Use the page controls and Show entries selector to see further records. The list offers 10, 25, 50 or 100 entries per page.
  6. Use Export if offered and follow the format options shown. Keep downloaded usage records secure.

Effective duration is the duration reported for billing. Confirm any minimum charge, rounding or billing increment with Safe2Call. A displayed rate or cost must be read with the relevant currency and your package terms.

Payments and invoices

  1. Open Account > Payments to review Date, Amount, Type and Description. Use Show filters to narrow the list.
  2. Open Account > Invoices to review Date and Number.
  3. Open the intended invoice or use the row download action if available. Check its period and amount before querying it.

Payments records account transactions; Billing lists usage; Invoices are issued billing documents. If an item is missing, check the period and ask Safe2Call whether an invoice has been issued.

Look up calling rates

  1. Open Account > Rates.
  2. Use Select country or enter anything in order to check rates.
  3. Select the relevant destination and review the returned tariff before dialling.
  4. If no result is shown, ask Safe2Call for the rate and whether the destination is included in your plan.

Do not infer included minutes, VAT treatment, destination exclusions or international allowances from this test account. Forwarded calls and call-through calls may have separate charging rules.

12.

Balance subscriptions and telephone numbers

Balance and Top up

The toolbar balance link opens Account > Top up. This screen offers Autorecharge, Balance transfer and Mobile TopUp; a voucher area is also visible. Available options and account currency can differ from your contracted residential service.

  1. Open Top up or select the toolbar balance.
  2. Choose the relevant available method only after confirming how it works with Safe2Call.
  3. Check the amount, currency, recipient, fees and any recurring payment conditions.
  4. Complete payment or transfer yourself only when those details are correct.
  5. Check Payments afterwards and retain confirmation.

Mobile TopUp should not be assumed to top up your Safe2Call telephone balance. Autorecharge can imply recurring charging; obtain its thresholds, amounts and cancellation method before enabling it.

Subscriptions

Open Account > Subscriptions to review any available packages. The inspected account displayed the section heading without package cards or purchase controls. Ask Safe2Call about your plan, renewals, cancellations and included features.

Review or request another number

  1. Open Account > Phone numbers. The list uses Number, Country and Area.
  2. To inspect availability, select Add.
  3. The Add new phone number wizard starts with Country, then Area and Numbers. Select Country and use Next to proceed through the available selections. Use Back to return.
  4. Review any displayed price and conditions before agreeing to an order. Stop if the cost or routing is unclear.
  5. After a number is assigned, ask Safe2Call to confirm its incoming routing and test it with a normal call.

Existing number porting and cancellation procedures are not provided by this wizard. Contact Safe2Call before cancelling an existing service if you want to retain its telephone number.

13.

Connecting a VoIP handset

Register a supported device

  1. Obtain a supported handset and confirm its vendor and model with Safe2Call.
  2. Find the device MAC address on its label or in its network information menu. Confirm the expected MAC format.
  3. Open Account > VoIP devices and select Add.
  4. In the General tab, enter MAC and select Vendor and Model.
  5. Select Save when the device details are correct.
  6. Connect the handset using the network and power arrangement approved for the device.
  7. Follow Safe2Call instructions for provisioning or restarting the handset.
  8. Check the MAC and Status in the device list, then make and receive an ordinary test call.

Adding a MAC record is not proof that a device is fully configured or registered. Automatic provisioning availability, supported models, line assignment and refresh behaviour must be confirmed with Safe2Call.

If the handset will not register

Check power, network connectivity and whether the handset has a valid network address.

Check the MAC, Vendor and Model match the physical device.

Confirm the SIP server and provisioning method with Safe2Call.

If manual SIP setup is required, use the issued SIP credentials and server details.

Do not factory reset a working handset unless you have recovery and provisioning instructions.

If the SIP password has changed, ask Safe2Call how to update all affected devices.

Additional phones and apps

Ask Safe2Call whether multiple devices can use the same residential line, how incoming calls ring across devices and how many simultaneous calls are allowed. Obtain a separate supported app guide for desktop or mobile installation; this portal does not identify a specific app or download link.

14.

Service use and account security

Keep the service available

An internet phone needs a working network and power supply. A handset can be powered by its adaptor or a compatible PoE connection, depending on model. Check your provider arrangements for outages and any backup power or alternative calling route.

Emergency calling and connected equipment

Ask Safe2Call to confirm emergency calling availability and the registered service address before relying on the line for emergency calls. Arrange an alternative means of calling during a power or broadband outage. Never dial an emergency number merely to test the service.

Before connecting an alarm, medical alert device, door-entry system or other equipment to the telephone service, confirm compatibility with both Safe2Call and the equipment provider. A working ordinary voice call is not a compatibility test for that equipment.

Protect account access

Use a strong password and avoid Remember Me on shared computers.

Keep SIP credentials separate from publicly shared guides.

Do not share Call through PINs or tokenised Click to call links.

Sign out when using another person's device.

Report unexpected charges, unfamiliar contacts or unrecognised device records through your Safe2Call support channel.

When asking for support

Provide the affected telephone number, approximate date and time of the problem, the handset or app model, the exact error text, whether incoming or outgoing calls are affected, and the steps already tried. For a call issue, provide one example destination privately through your agreed support channel. Do not include passwords, PINs or full tokenised links.

15.

Troubleshooting

Cannot log in

Check username spelling and Caps Lock. Use Forgot Password or contact Safe2Call.

Phone does not ring

Check power, internet, device registration, handset DND and Find me routing.

Calls go straight to voicemail

Review offline or busy behaviour, DND, endpoint registration and routing priority with Safe2Call.

Forwarding goes to the wrong number

Check To, the matching DID and overlapping rules. Restore the previous rule if needed.

Cannot make an outgoing call

Check registration, destination format, package restrictions and account status.

No audio or one-way audio

Check microphone permission, headset selection and network connectivity. Tell Safe2Call which direction has no audio.

Poor or broken audio

Try a stable wired connection where possible and check whether other traffic is saturating the connection.

No voicemail email

Check Voicemail to email, the rule, junk folder and email delivery with Safe2Call.

Greeting upload fails

Check required Name and ask Safe2Call for supported audio format and limits.

Save is grey

Check required fields, validation messages and whether a value has changed.

No data in a table

Check filters, dates and feature activation. An empty list does not prove the feature is unavailable.

Unexpected charge or currency

Review Billing and Payments, then confirm the currency and charging terms with Safe2Call.

Check after each fix

Reopen the affected setting, confirm its saved value and test only the relevant function. If you cannot restore service, contact Safe2Call with a clear example and the time of the issue rather than repeatedly changing settings.
